Park Rules & Guidelines at Lower Lacon Caravan Park

To ensure your and other people's stay is enjoyable, please observe the Rules and Guidelines as set out below:

If you disagree or feel that you cannot follow these rules, please request a refund. As it will be in everyone’s interest for you not to come and put yourself and others at risk.

Park Rules, Terms & Conditions.

Only the party leader can check-in on arrival (the name the booking is made in) with your confirmation, please don’t forget your photo ID / the card the booking was made with, to confirm your ID. Other party members may also need photo ID during their stay. The party is also responsible for all their party/visitors & their actions, including costs incurred.

 All visitors including day visitors must be per booked and check-in on arrival (pay if applicable) at the reception on their arrival.

No commercial vehicles will be allowed onto the park; This includes sign written cars and non-sign written commercial-style and commercial vehicles. Anyone trying to enter the park will be asked to leave. Leaving your vehicle in the car park is also prohibited. We allow full-glassed & half-glassed with 4 or more seats.

  • We do allow fire logs & pre-packaged wood plus gas or charcoal barbecues on site but we don't allow the burning of rubbish or wood taken from our woods. This is due to acrid and possible poisonous smoke plus the damage to our trees. They must also be kept at least 6” off the ground (to prevent ground fires & damage). Barbecues and fire must NEVER be left unattended and non-gas barbecues and fires must be put out with water by midnight.
  • The party leader (name the booking is made in) is responsible for all of their party / visitors & their actions, including any costs incurred.
  • Noise must be kept to a reasonable level (including pets) at all times so as not to disturb the enjoyment of others, especially after 11pm and before dawn.
  • Mowers, Strimmers & Generators etc. should also be used with consideration for others, so please don't operate them between 8pm and 8am, generator should also be silent running and within your pitch next to your unit.
  • After 10pm, children under 18 are not allowed unaccompanied anywhere on the park. This includes J.A.K.K.S. Barn; they must be supervised by their own parents or legal guardian.
  • Children (under 18) must not be left unattended. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children's actions and their safety at all times whilst on the park.
  • Anyone caught shoplifting or stealing in anyway, will be banned from the caravan park.
  • NO DRINK DRIVING ON THE PARK (as the park is a public highway)
  • SPEED LIMIT of 5 m.p.h. to be observed at all times.
  • LEARNER DRIVERS and MOTORISED SCOOTERS are prohibited.
  • DANGEROUS ITEMS (guns, air guns, soft air guns, knives, catapults, bows, and fireworks) are strictly prohibited & will be confiscated.
  • All items deemed to be a nuisance (water bombs & pistols, laser pens, etc) will be confiscated.
  • NO CHINESE FIRE LANTERNS ALLOWED ON THE PARK AT ANY TIME
  • No single sex groups accommodated. (Special circumstances may be considered).
  • No groups under 21 accommodated. (Special circumstances may be considered).
  • No commercial activities are permitted on the park without permission, where a 10% commission is due. Any unauthorised activities; the stock will be confiscated.
  • You cannot use the Caravan Park as your only or main residence. The Caravan Park is only for holiday and recreational purposes “A Holiday”.  A Holiday is a period of recreation away from your main residence with no work or commuting to work or commuting to school during the holiday.
  • Washing of cars & *caravans on the park is strictly prohibited. (*excludes Season's and Holiday Home Owners)
  • No Charging of vehicles on unmeted pitches, Unauthorised use £3 per hour.
  • No ball games etc (football / cricket / rounders, etc) between units (cars, caravans, tents, etc), please use areas provided (Ball & Games Fields). Also Strictly no leather / hard balls (football / cricket & baseballs) to be used on the main park.
  • Bicycles & electric bicycles, scooters, et cetera, must keep to the roads and not go faster than a normal bicycle and must also give way to cars or pedestrians and not overtake cars. They also need lights on if used at night.
  • No skateboards please as these are a danger to other park users.
  • No paddling pools allowed (as these pose a drowning hazard).
  • No wet swimmers are allowed in the bars or shop.
  • Abandoned Property, When a customer stops payment for two months or quits a pitch, any remaining property is considered to have been abandoned. If it has been abandoned, we can recover the property without going to court, and the customer has two months to raise an objection from when the customer quitted the pitch or stop payment.
  • Pets are welcome on site but you are responsible for the behaviour of your animals and cleaning up after them. Please ensure that your animals are not allowed loose on site and are kept on a lead of a reasonable length.
    *Do not leave your dog unattended in any situation, or for any period of time that is likely to cause it distress. (*Animal Welfare Act 2006)
  • We reserve the right to exercise our statutory right to claim interest (at 8% over the Bank of England base rate) and compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment legislation. In line with The Small Business Commissioner (OSBC) an independent public body set up by Government under the Enterprise Act 2016 to tackle late payment and unfavourable payment practices in the private sector. The OSBC covers the whole of the UK - England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

By making a booking you and your party agree to all these terms and conditions. If you have any queries that are not covered in this, please ask before making a booking. If upon receiving your confirmation, you cannot comply with the conditions please contact us within 24 hours for a full refund.

  • Group bookings are available but be advised you must tell us when booking if you want to be together.
    Groups of 5 units or more will need a designated leader to vouch for the group and guarantee the general behaviour of the group as a whole; they will need to pay an additional deposit of £50. This gives the group a 5% discount (the discount must be arranged in advance i.e. before booking when the group deposit is paid & is not available for high season). This to hold the bookings together as we sometimes need to move bookings to accommodate groups.

    If groups try to book without informing us, we will cancel their booking as we can only assume that

    they think their behaviour would be unsuitable for our rule.

THE SWIMMING POOL HAS NO LIFEGUARD

All children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (over 18) in the pool area. Non-swimmers are NOT allowed past the black line whether wearing swimming aids or not. Any misconduct will result in persons being asked to leave the pool area. Numbers in the pool area are limited. It will open Spring Bank Holiday if weather is suitable and be closed mid September. Regulations and conditions are displayed at the entrance and in the pool area and must be strictly adhered to, for everyone's safety. (Session times may vary)

Barriers

  • The barriers must not be misused as they are for the security of all, rules are displayed and must be adhered to.
  • DO NOT WALK OR CYCLE UNDER BARRIERS (or allow your children to).

Guidelines

  • Please use the provided waste water points, chemical disposal points, skips and wheelie bins for the appropriate waste.
    Standpipes are conveniently placed for drinking water only.
  • Please use outdoor sinks for washing pots and pans.
  • Please use roads provided and a torch, after dark, would be advisable. (We cannot be held responsible for accidents resulting from short cuts.)

We support the Challenge 21 approach for the sale of alcohol; we ask anyone who is over 18 but looks under 21 to carry acceptable ID (a card bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving licence or a passport) if they wish to buy alcohol.
